Golf Club of Dublin ClubhouseThe ascension of Dublin from tiny, quaint central Ohio village to its standing as a bustling suburban city begins and ends with one man. Jack Nicklaus led Dublin’s renaissance, transforming the Columbus suburb into an active community of over 32,000 and making it “Ohio’s Most Prestigious Golf Address” in the process.

The city’s standing as home to the PGA Tour’s Memorial Tournament, an annual event hosted by Nicklaus that is one of the most recognized and prestigious on the circuit, helped Dublin cement itself as a burgeoning golf destination.

The Dublin Convention and Visitors Bureau offers all-inclusive golf/hotel packages that include a choice of courses and hotels, breakfast, greens fees, guaranteed tee times and shared cart. The courses feature a number of well-known architects such as Arthur Hills and run the gamut in terms of atmosphere and style.

The Golf Club of Dublin, designed by Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry, is reminiscent of a course located on the British Isles. This 7,102 yard resort-style course is the first of its kind in the Midwest with authentic links features like 64 stacked sod bunkers, 1,800 feet of hand-stacked rock walls, rectangular teeing grounds, fescue covered dunes, enormous greens and water on 17 holes.

Located in Lockbourne, Foxfire Golf Club is home to 36 championship holes of golf. The Foxfire Golf Course offers a proud tradition of excellence and service that spans 30 years and with the addition of the Players Club at Foxfi re, this Central Ohio venue is one-of-a-kind.

Longaberger Golf ClubThe award-winning Longaberger Golf Club is a layout that meanders over a setting of rolling hills with lots of elevation changes to give the course a beautiful look and feel. Numerous publications including Golf Digest and Golf Magazine have heralded Longaberger as one of the best courses not only in the Midwest but in the nation.

Other courses available to play include Bent Tree Golf Club, Cooks Creek Golf Club, Darby Creek Golf Course, Kinsale Golf and Fitness Club, Mill Creek Golf Club, Royal American Links, Scioto Reserve Golf & Athletic Club and the Safari Golf Club.

Golf is the calling card in Dublin, but Irish is the attitude and it’s reflected in a number of signature events put on by the city throughout the year and of course, in its name.
