The Quarry’s on-site restaurant, The Granite Grille, has become just as popular as the course itself. Serving up appetizers, drinks and an impressive dinner menu, The Granite Grille has received numerous awards from the Canton Restaurant Association over the past few years.

Less than an hour away in Medina is another spectacular public-access golf course under the umbrella of Granite Golf Properties. Shale Creek Golf Club is an open rolling links-style layout exposed to the elements. When the wind blows, as it almost always does, the course begins to flex its muscle. Visually, Shale Creek is less dramatic than The Quarry; however, don’t judge this book by its cover. There are small streams and wetlands that feed into the Rocky River, which dominates the back nine. Shale Creek has strategically-placed bunkers and several distinct natural areas, which help create a uniquely different golf experience.

Like its sister course, Shale Creek has received numerous awards. GOLF Magazine ranked it No. 14 on its 2010 list of best public courses in Ohio. The layout has also been hailed as one of Ohio’s top 100 courses by Golf-Styles Ohio Magazine.

Both Shale Creek and The Quarry have become popular locations for golf outings, tournaments and groups traveling from the Cleveland area. The Quarry is also available for banquets and weddings.

Medina Country Club is the only private club in the Granite Golf Properties portfolio. The group’s flagship course is a classic, tree-lined layout that dates back to the short-lived Kennedy administration. The 27-hole private country club offers all-inclusive memberships ranging from Social to Founding Members.

Founding Members have privileges at all three Granite Golf Properties facilities – Medina Country Club, Shale Creek Golf Club and The Quarry Golf Club. These Founding Members can also make advanced tee times over the general public, as well as, use the fitness room, and swimming pool at each club.
